MICHAEL WEINBERG

My name is Michoel Weinberg, and I live in Kiryat Sefer, where I work as a Sofer.

My life's story can bring tears to anyone's eyes. My father, Reb Yisroel Weinberg zt"l, who was a Chevron Talmid, spent forty years as a Magid Shiur in Yeshivas Bnei Akiva – Chadera, where he brought Torah to bochurim from Dati-Leumi families, with dedication and love. Unfortunately, three of the children who were born to my parents have special needs, and they will be staying at home for the rest of their lives, with all of its pressures and expenses.

Sadly, my father passed away at the prime of his life, after some years of great sickness, with no pension for my mother. My mother is an almanah at home, with these three children as her permanent burden.

Sadly, her physical situation has not been optimal either. She has had trouble with her eyes for years, and has undergone multiple operations. Unfortunately, they were unsuccessful, and she is now totally blind rch"l.

We are now left with my father's debts, my mother's obligations to her children, and some medications that are not covered by the Israeli government's health insurance.

I have all of these on my shoulders, as I support my own five children. I have married three children off already, one of them to a yasom who could not afford to pay for his half of the expenses.

My chovos are over my head, and they don't allow me to concentrate on my work as a Sofer Stam. Anyone who makes a generous donation will be partnering in my mitzvah of Kibud Av va'Em and will be helping an almanah in her plight.
